14/5/24. The timings for Tag rugby confirmed. 2pm Registration. Group stages commence at 2:30pm with quarter finals at 6pm, semi finals at 6:30pm and the final at 7pm.

 

6/5/24. Less than two weeks and thank you for so much support. As it currently stands we have  22 teams entered and over 120 for the walk only. Tag format is being worked on with details to be circulated by email, this site and Instagram by the May 15th. 

For the walkers, we have looked at various options and timing for the routes. Given the number of entries for both, we've decided to limit the longer walk to 10km, which should take around 2hrs. Shorter walk will be over an hour. We'll have guides for those not familiar with Howth & Sutton. Long walk is taking in some of the cliff path so please wear approximate shoes as the route in uneven.

Longer walk - Suttonians RFC - through Sutton Cross, passing Santa Sabina, passing Howth Golf Club and turning right on to Ceanchor Road. At the end of this straight road, you'll join the cliff path. Turn right and the path works it's way back to Sutton. At the end of this path is Strand Road and you'll pass Sutton Dinghy club, staying with the sea on your left. Turn left at the end of Strand Road and you'll walk towards Sutton Cross.

Short walk - Suttonians RFC - through Sutton Cross, passing Santa Sabina, passing Howth Golf Club, turn right on to St Fintains Road. Turn left at Shielmartin road following round as it bends right and down to the coast and onto strand Road. This route passes Sutton Dinghy Club and stay with the sea on your left. Turn left at the end of Strand Road and you'll walk towards Sutton Cross.

Registration opens at 2:30 with long walk starting at 3pm. Shorter walk 4pm. Kick off time for tag to be confirmed in the coming days.

 

24/4/24. With less than 4 weeks to go, we can confirm that we have 17 teams entered. Given the number, range of experience and age, we'll be offering two divisions. Teams and players will be confirmed week before the event by email.

Also, for those who wish to walk but may be under time pressure, a shorter walk will commence at 4pm with route running towards Howth Golf Club, turning right down past Sutton Park School and turning right at the sea front and back to the rugby club.

 

14/4/24. We're delighted to confirm that over €50,000 has been donated to the Neil Howard fund to date.

 

11/4/24 - Website has been updated to allow for the registration of teams. For a team entry, min of 7 players, max 10. For individuals, we'll place you on a team. Significant numbers have already signed up.

We are pleased to confirm that the iDonate link is now operational. This provides an opportunity to contribute to a fund which has been created in Neil's name.
